Project Overview

This Project was to construct a KS2 Block which contained two classrooms, a General Purpose room, and two toilets. We also refurbished a toilet block and two further classrooms within the school as well as fitting large canopies over existing tarmac play areas, and laying a new electrical supply to the adjoining nursery building.

The construction was a traditional concrete floor slab, traditional brick/block cavity wall to the front of building and a cavity wall to rear formed using two skins of blockwork with the outer skin finished with a coloured render. The Roof to the front of building was a curved structure using curved steels and finished with a euroclad metal seamed roof. The rear extension roof is a single ply membrane finish. The project was carried out with the school fully operational, with all vehicles movements and deliveries having to be carefully planned as we were sharing the main entrance with all staff and pupils. Duration 22 weeks.
