Project Overview
The works comprised of alterations and the refurbishment of the following buildings:
- Former Tractor Shed into a Rural Skills Workshop
- Former Cannery Building into a Rural Skills Enterprise centre
- Former Stable block into a Rural Skills Centre
The external works comprised of new hard-standing and soft landscaping works together with drainage installations and complex builders works with new service installations.
The works were extremely challenging due to the nature of the old barns and their structural condition being unknown until works were opened up. The works were compounded by the presence of Bats, a Party Wall issue with the attached Grade II listed building and delays caused by information release. Duration of 23 weeks.
“Having worked with [Pave Aways] several times over the past few years, we always expect a good end result, and a well-managed project…. the projects recently completed were perhaps the most complex….. because of that I have been particularly impressed with the manner in which they have been approached and completed.”
David Candlin, estates manager, Walford & North Shropshire College
