Our teams have been collecting much needed donations for two food banks in Shrewsbury and North Wales.
The site team working on the new girls’ house at Shrewsbury School started amassing food and other vital products for people in need on the suggestion of multi skilled joiner, Jimmy.
Our training manager Michelle Benjamin recently handed over the necessities to the Shrewsbury Food Bank Plus at the Barnabas Church Centre.
And at our project in Rhyl, where we’re converting the former tax office on Churton Road into accessible apartments for social rent on behalf of Denbighshire County Council, staff organised a collection for the food bank at the Foryd Community Centre.
Managing Director Steven Owen said: “One of the foundations of Pave Aways is that we support the communities where we work, in whatever way they need.
“The cost of living is driving record numbers of people to use food banks and this was something practical we could do as a team to help those in our communities who need it most.
“Well done to Jimmy for taking the idea forward and making a difference.”
