We have launched a search to recruit a number of multi-skilled operative apprentices to our team. The four roles are open to school and college leavers but it is also an opportunity for anyone considering a career change.
As a multi-skilled operative apprentice, you’ll work on one of our sites under the guidance of a mentor learning skills such as carpentry, brickwork, plastering, decorating, tiling and roofing.
Working in partnership with SBC Training at its Shrewsbury training centre, apprentices will study for a Level 2 Property Maintenance Apprenticeship Standard. After two years, there may be the opportunity for long-term employment leading to additional qualifications and further training in a specific trade or site supervision.
Training manager Michelle Benjamin said: “This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to gain an all-round grounding in construction before deciding on specialising in a specific area.
“Earning while you learn with the support of our experienced staff on site is a brilliant option as you get to put your theory into practice daily. As well as school and college leavers, we have a number of older apprentices who have joined us later in their careers and have really benefited from an apprenticeship.”
