As supporting our team and the communities where we work are two of the key pillars of the Pave Aways’ ethos, we’re delighted to have been shortlisted for two awards that recognise this in this year’s Shropshire Chamber Business Awards.
We are one of four finalists in the Wellbeing in the Workplace and the Community Champion – Business in the Community categories and will be hosting visits from the judges soon as they meet us to find out more about why and how we do it.
The winners will be revealed at a ceremony at Telford International Centre on June 23rd.
Managing director Steven Owen said: “We are over the moon to be recognised amongst our peers in these two categories and there is some tough competition.
“Our people are the foundation of everything we do and we’ve worked hard in recent years to develop and enhance the way we support them to grow professionally and personally, with their physical and mental wellbeing at the heart of that, so being shortlisted for this award underpins that work.
“Over the nearly 50 years of Pave Aways, paying back to the communities where we work through a local supply chain that boosts the economy, carrying out community projects and supporting charities has been crucial. We’re looking forward to sharing that with the judges and hope they’re impressed!”
We won the Shropshire Chamber Company of the Year in 2019 and the Education and Training award in 2020.
