We have established a new steering group to give a greater voice to our team so they can help build the future of Pave Aways, together.
The People’s People group of site and office staff ranging from apprentices to site managers will represent their colleagues’ views and put forward their ideas for enhancing the business as well as feedback their opinions on developments, including health & safety and environmental initiatives.
The move follows our recent accreditation to the Investors in People standard that recognises organisations that are committed to the support and development of their people as well as striving for continuous improvement and high levels of customer service.
HR Manager Jane Harvey said: “This group will lead the way on how we reward people, set targets for those rewards and create leadership. They will meet once a month and debate issues within the organisation so we can ensure there is the opportunity for everyone’s voice to be heard.
“As a business, we’ve always prided ourselves on prioritising our team and this is another way we can make sure views from all levels are put forward and taken into account in the strategy and decision making within Pave Aways.
“It’s important for us to empower everyone – no matter what level they are working at – and it’s important to me that everyone feels equal and knows they are valued.”
