Top marks for school extension

We have handed over a new extension that will support the growth of a popular Mid Wales primary school.

The 60 square metre timber framed extension at the rear of Ysgol Pontrobert near Meifod includes a new classroom, entrance and toilet facilities.

The project was a first for Alex Halling in his role as site manager and included contracts manager Aaron Evans and quantity surveyor Victoria Ward in their first substantive roles.

Construction Director Jamie Evans said: “The school is delighted with the extra space and finished facilities. Alex, Aaron and Victoria have done a great job and we look forward to them putting their skills to good use on their next project.”

We have built a number of school facilities in Mid Wales including the first ever Passivhaus school in the county, Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School, and Ysgol Carno.

An in-demand education contractor, Pave Aways is currently working on its 12th project for Shrewsbury School – a new £5.1m girls’ house – having just completed the refurbishment and extension of the school’s Rigg’s Hall boarding house.
