We have handed over a donation to The Movement Centre following a fundraiser for the charity at this year’s Pave Aways family fun day.
We raised £278 through a prize winning tombola, just one of the activities at the annual celebration at the Mereside Community Centre in Shrewsbury. The family fun day was open to all Pave Aways staff, their families and friends as our way to say thank you for our team’s hard work and support.
The Movement Centre offers its world exclusive Targeted Training programme to children who have limited movement. It is based in Oswestry at The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Hospital — a site where we have completed numerous projects over the years.
Our office manager and health & wellbeing officer Sabrina Davies, who organised the family fun day, handed over the cheque to The Movement Centre’s Curtis Langley when he visited our head office.
Managing Director Steven Owen said the donation followed on from our headline sponsorship of a fundraising golf day for The Movement Centre.
“We are always keen to support charities and community groups in the areas where we live and work. The Movement Centre makes a tangible difference to the lives of many children and their families so it seemed appropriate to make it our chosen charity for this year’s family day,” he explained.
