Sixteen-year-old Louie Bowen from Shrewsbury spent a week with us at Pave Aways recently to get some hands-on construction experience.
Louie joined us at our school site in Shrewsbury where we’re building new school facilities for Shropshire Council at the Harlescott Junior School.
He said: “I’ve been interested in carpentry from an early age, my dad is a carpenter and I enjoy working with wood.”
He said he really appreciated the opportunity to experience what it’s like to work on site alongside our experienced carpenters and would definitely like a career as a site carpenter.
