We have said a very fond farewell to a Pave Aways legend, as site manager Tony Martin retired at the end of April after nearly 33 years.
Tony started working with Pave Aways in June 1988 and we celebrated the end of his career with us with a (covid safe) retirement presentation.
As well as gifts and flowers for his wife Hilary, Tony’s dedication and role as an inspiration to younger staff was recognised in a special book. It included details of all the projects he has worked on and tributes from staff including Managing Director Steven Owen who said Tony’s “work commitment and desire to get it right was first class”.
His citation added: “How you have managed yourself over the years, your confidence at work, honesty, integrity and dedication is first class and you are a role model for all those who want to develop a long career.”
