Our team has been working hard to help a Mid Wales charity convert its new premises into a welcoming and useable space.
We have been helping the Ponthafren Association with building repairs at their new premises, The Armoury in Welshpool, as part of our community benefits programme where we support organisations in the areas where we work for free.
Led by our site manager John Friend, we have been providing the materials and labour for jobs the staff and volunteers have been unable to do themselves.
This has included converting a former bar ready for a new kitchen, clearing the yard and creating a new entrance that is suitable for people with disabilities. A team from our office recently spent the day there, carrying out some essential painting and decorating tasks.
Ponthafren helps people affected by mental health issues, social exclusion or isolation – something that is always important, but especially during the pandemic.
