Learning at work

At Pave Aways, we believe that you never stop learning and that on-going development is the key to a strong and skilled workforce.

Learning at Work Week (May 13 – 19) – run by the Campaign for Learning – throws a spotlight on the benefits of continual learning and development.

Our staff spent more than 3,000 hours on training and development last year, a figure we’re hoping to exceed this year.

Our training takes a variety of forms. It could be anything from scaffold training to studying for individual qualifications.

We support our employees to undertake qualifications up to NVQ Level 7 and we extend our training and vocational courses to sub contractors in our supply chain.

This year’s Learning at Work Week theme is Shaping The Future, something we’re committed to.

Our current 15 apprentices and trainees form 14 per cent of our workforce. We’re also a member of the 5% Club, a national movement behind the recruitment of apprentices. For more about our apprenticeship programme, click here.
