We were delighted to be invited to the recent unveiling of the refurbished Much Wenlock fire station that we finished work on earlier this year.
The £400,000 project, carried out for our client the Shropshire and Wrekin Fire Rescue Authority, overhauled the existing facilities to create a facility suitable for the 21st century. An extension added a new lecture room, watch room and kitchen.
It was certainly the most unique opening ceremony we’ve attended as captured on our Twitter feed – click the video to watch:
Is this a first? A fire engine cutting the ribbon at the official opening of the redevelopment of the @SFRS_Wenlock station 🚒. A great project to work on – we hope you enjoy your new station @shropsfire @BHNarchitects pic.twitter.com/TeRh0LQ3Lb
